Coreopsis rosea – Pink Tickseed also commonly known as the Pink Coreopsis and Rose Tickseed, is noted for its long, continuous flowering season. It is a perennial that forms dense, bushy clumps of airy, grass-like, fine-textured light green leaves. It has a blooming season that lasts from midsummer to fall, where a profusion of showy, rosy-pink, starry flowers that are up to 1 inch across are born on short stems. Their center disk is golden, which provides a nice contrast to the 8 rich pink ray florets. They grow best in full sun in consistently moist, sandy, slightly acidic, well-draining soils and will grow between 18 – 24 inches tall. It's important to note that, unlike most other Coreopsis, this flower is NOT tolerant of heat or dry soil.
