Eupatorium purpureum - Sweet Joe Pye is a more fragrant plant than joe pye in general. It is an herbaceous perennial plant in the sunflower family. It is native to eastern and central North America, from Ontario east to New Hampshire and south as far as Florida, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. As the plant begins to bloom the stems often bend downward under the weight of the flowers.This can grow to 7 feet tall and 3 feet wide. Draws Butterflies and pollinators as well.
