Euphorbia Polychroma - Cushion spurge. This plant is related to poinsettias, believe it or not.In 1993 this plant won the “Award of Garden Merit” by the Royal Horticultural Society. It grows in hot and dry areas with ease. It produces flattened golden yellow flowers in spring, and during the fall the foliage shows off colors of orange, red or purple. It is thought to be one of the best for borders. The stems are erect and sturdy forming in clumps and are long lived. Surely it is an excellent choice for long lasting beauty wherever you choose to show them off. It is a self sower if not deadheaded. If you choose not to allow self seeding, remove the spent flowers and cut back by one third. Divide in the spring. They don’t like to be disturbed. Euphorbia are grown for their colorful bracts, which are leaves surrounding the insignificant true flowers, and these bracts are as showy as any bloom. Butterflies will come and visit.

I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine,Florida. All seed are NOT alike! There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!SEED GERMINATION TIP!!!!!!!
ONLY GERMINATE A SMALL PORTION AT A TIME.
DON'T PUT ALL YOUR MONKEYS IN A BARREL.
Good Luck and Happy Planting!!!!
