Helianthus Annus - Sonja. This is an annual showy sunflower, a member of the aster family, that has been well loved for centuries. The flower just looks like a happy face that makes you want to adopt them into your garden family. This particular variety is somewhat different from other sunflowers in their height and color. This upright branching sunflower only grows to 3 feet and the petals are more vibrant with a golden-orange color, and dark centers. This flower also is bushier, having flowers bloom on side branches coming from the strong main stem. This plant is not only sturdy and beautiful, but it is a long-lasting cut flower for vase arrangements. This awesome little plant was originally bred exclusively to be marketed for cut flowers and has been awarded the fleuroselect award for its exceptional merit. It is a fast grower and greatly loved by
florists.

I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine, Florida. All seed are NOT alike! There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!
SEED GERMINATION TIP!!!!!!!
ONLY GERMINATE A SMALL PORTION AT A TIME.
DON'T PUT ALL YOUR MONKEYS IN A BARREL.
Good Luck and Happy Planting!!!!
