The Kikyo Blue Speckled Japanese morning glory is a stunning flower that I grow and the seed is from my plants, the flowers will either be mostly white with specks of blue all through it or it will be mostly blue with a very little amount of white. It is another of the Kikyo varieties that is quite rare to run across and worth adding to Your collection. Morning Glories will bloom in the morning and begin to close during the heat of the day. They are easy to grow from seed. Each morning the vine is filled with new blooms that greet you in the early morning. I love to learn tidbits of plant origins, and I have read that in Japan many centuries ago the Master gardeners would try to create beautiful flowers for the Emperor to impress and please him with their new creations. Morning Glories have been around since around 900 a.d. The plant is primarily cultivated in Japan and is still grown there today and offers hundreds of varieties. This vine can grow 10-12 feet. It is easy to grow and generally blooms within 6 weeks from germination.
