Lychnis coronaria Alba – White Rose Campion is an attractive plant that has erect,
white-gray flowering stalks that are covered with a profusion of rounded white flowers.
These flowering stalks rise atop a basal rosette of woolly leaves that are a silver-gray
color. It has a blooming season that ranges from late spring to late summer, will grow
between 18 – 36 inches tall, can be grown in either full sun or partial shade in well-
drained soil and is also drought tolerant. These showy flowers will attract pollinators to
your garden such as Hummingbirds, Butterflies, and Bees while being resistant to Deer
and Rabbits. They are native to southeastern Europe, and do well in containers, and in
beds and borders in the garden. These are also easy to grow, low maintenance plants,
which is always a good thing for the busy gardener.
