Penstemon speciosus – Royal Penstemon is native to the western United States where it can be found in many types of habitats. The flowers can age in several colors such as lavender sky blue. These plants like sandy soils and Full Sun as they are easy to grow and need little care. Often used in habitat enhancements. Attracts Hummingbirds, Butterflies and Bees as all Penstemon attract pollinators galore! Great for borders, rocky or sandy areas where most plants will not grow. Can be grown in containers but will need a sandier mixture and keep roots from sitting in water. Rather dry than wet. Care plant to grow with high reward.
