Poppy papaver Somniferum lilac pompom. This poppy called lilac pompom is a fluffy ball of lilac delight with scalloped edges growing atop semi-tall stalks that just scream “happy”. Foliage is a bluish gray color that makes for an interesting color contrast for the plant as a whole. The leaves resemble lettuce which makes it a bit different. Multiple stems bloom with the lilac poms filling the plant, plant in groups to create focal points during blooming season. They are an ease to grow and do well in containers and gardens. Wherever they are they will put a smile on your face when they bloom in the summer. My most popular poppy I carry, and I have some odd ducks, but Gardeners LOVE these.
