Wild Columbine is a red and yellow combination that catches your eyes, even standing at a whopping 2 feet tall. The unusual flowers design is quite unique and I am going to try and grow them, even though they are not a tropical plant and most likely wont like my area. I found this on Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center about columbines "The genus name Aquilegia comes from the Latin aquila which means eagle and refers to the spurred petals that many believe resemble an eagles talons.
