Calceolaria – Jovellana punctata also known as the Teacup Flower, is an upright, subshrub, semi evergreen that has red stems, ovate, toothed leaves that are a mid – bright green color, and two-lipped flowers that are either a white, pale lilac, or a pale pink with throats that are yellow-marked, and purple spotted. They have a blooming season that ranges from late Spring to mid- Summer, grows best in full sun with chalky, loamy, sandy soils that are well-draining, and will grow between 24 – 36 inches tall. This plants water requirements are average water needs, make sure to water regularly, but its important to not overwater! These flowers will attract pollinators to your garden such as Butterflies and Bees while being resistant to Deer and Rabbits. They are native to Chile and do well in beds and borders in the garden.
