Helianthus annus - Sun-Fill Purple. If you are looking for something very different, extremely unique and definitely odd, this plant is for you. This showy erect perennial is unique for its geometric flower heads. Tom Heaton, a sunflower breeder, bred this flower so the back of it became the front, giving the flower a very different appearance. The flower has a sparse amount of small petals that are green, fading to purple at the tips, on a single stem. It is fast growing, reaching maturity in 50-55 days with petite flowers and the bees will love them.
