Poppy - Meconopsis Cambrica - Frances Perry is a rare red form of the flowering perennial Welsh Poppy. This plant has cheery bright red-orange small flowers that will flower on and off for many months. This plant does great in the shade garden. These 3-inch, bright, shiny, red poppy flowers are borne on 8-inch upright stems and will look great in your garden all Summer long. It looks elegant with its emerald green foliage. Its blooming season is in the Summer, grows best in mostly shade in rich, well-draining soil, and will grow between 12 – 24 inches tall. These flowers will attract pollinators to your garden such as Butterflies and Bees while being resistant to Deer and Rabbits, it is also resistant to common garden pests such as slugs! These do well in beds and borders in the garden. A great feature of this plant is that it is easy to grow, so its great for the beginner gardener!

I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine, Florida. All seed are NOT alike! There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!
