Poppy Papaver Rhoeas – Tutti Frutti Mix is an attractive ‘corn poppy’ also commonly known as the Corn Rose, Field Poppy, Flanders Poppy, and Red Poppy, is a fast-growing Annual. Some history behind this plant is that it is a fast-growing Poppy that quickly produced flowers among the trenches in World Wars and was used to pay respect to the soldiers who had fallen. Sometimes, it is still so abundant in agricultural fields that it may be mistaken for a crop! However, this mixture isn’t like the traditional Poppies that are red and black. This unique mixture gives you a nice mix of vibrant red and pink flowers! These showy flowers have a blooming season that lasts from early to late Summer, grows best in full sun in any moist, well – draining soils, and will grow between 12 - 24 inches tall. I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine, Florida. All seed are NOT alike! There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!
