Primula florinddae - Orange. This particular primrose flower is one of the most robust in the Primula family. That is due to its weight and large blooms. It can yield up to 40 pendant tubular flowers of rusty orange and is very fragrant. Excellent in small gardens, blooming in May through August; and unlike other family members, this plant can withstand waterlogged conditions which makes it an excellent choice to border streams or any damp border. I read this part and had to share it : Primula - A mixing of a medieval name Primula veris for the daisy - meaning firstling of spring and the Latin primus - meaning first. florindae - Named after the first wife of plant-hunter Kingston Ward when he found this plant in Tibet. These are rare and hard to come by.
