Rudbeckia hirta - Cherry Brandy – Commonly known as the Black-Eyed Susan, will bring you bright cherry red flowers that have a dark center. They have a blooming season that lasts from summer to fall and are considered annual, perennial, or biennial flowers. They like to be grown in full sun, will grow up to 2 feet tall, and are also drought tolerant. Thriving in moist, well-drained soil, these attractive flowers can also grow in clay soil and on the seaside! They make great cut flowers, are commonly used in dried floral arrangements, and also do well in beds and borders. The Cherry Brandy will attract butterflies, bees, and birds to your gardens, and is also self-seeding and long blooming. What’s also great about these plants is that they are easy to grow and low maintenance, making them the perfect flowers for the beginning, busy gardener. You really can’t go wrong with these flowers!

I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine, Florida. All seed are NOT alike! There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!
SEED GERMINATION TIP!!!!!!!
ONLY GERMINATE A SMALL PORTION AT A TIME.
DON'T PUT ALL YOUR MONKEYS IN A BARREL.
Good Luck and Happy Planting!!!!
