Rudbeckia Hirta – Cappuccino

Rudbeckia hirta – Cappuccino is a strong, compact plant that has excellent basal branching. It has large flowers that are 4 inches wide, that come in warm shades of orange, gold, and mahogany. The flowers are produced in quantities where it seems like they almost cover the bushy, dark green foliage. It has a blooming season ranging from early Summer to fall, grows best in full sun in moist, well-draining soil, will grow between 18-20 inches tall, and is drought tolerant once established. This plant is a recipient of the prestigious Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society. These showy flowers will attract pollinators to your garden such as Butterflies, Bees, and Birds while being resistant to Deer and Rabbits. They make great cut flowers, do well in dried floral arrangements, and also can be used in beds and borders in the garden. Another great feature of this plant is that it is low maintenance, which every busy gardener can appreciate! Remove dead flowers for another round of blooms. This variety is heat and drought tolerant.
