Rudbeckia Hirta – Green Eyes is a very attractive, unique variety. These Annuals feature large 4 – 5 inch blooms that are a golden-yellow color and have bright olive, green cones. They are heavy bloomers, blooming from Spring through early Fall, grow best in full sun, and will grow up to 24 inches tall. They aren’t picky with the soil type, as long as it’s well-draining. A great feature of these ornamental plants is that they are drought tolerant. They will attract pollinators to your garden such as Butterflies and Bees while being resistant to Deer and Rabbits. They make great cut flowers, do well in containers, beds, mixed xeriscape borders, and can also be used for mass planting. They are also self-sowers. Be aware that they can be prone to root rot and powdery mildew, so it’s important to space plants apart to help encourage good airflow, and make sure to let the soil dry between waterings! Another great feature of these flowers is that they are low maintenance, making this the perfect plant for the busy gardener! You don’t want to miss out on this plant find, it will surely add a nice ray of sunshine to any garden!

I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine, Florida. All seed are NOT alike! There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!
SEED GERMINATION TIP!!!!!!!
ONLY GERMINATE A SMALL PORTION AT A TIME.
DON'T PUT ALL YOUR MONKEYS IN A BARREL.
