Euphorbia amygdaloides - var Robbiae . Also called Spurges, is a leafy herbaceous plant that differs from others in the species. It is rhizomatous, which makes it useful as ground covering intermingledwith more ephemeral plants along wooded paths. This is an evergreen that does well in sun or shade that is carefree and slow spreading. In late spring it bares chartreuse yellow flowers that last several months. It can be grown in a pot or in a garden and is almost zero maintenance. Just plant in a protected site for great winter foliage. Commonly used as ornamental foliage and cut flowers. Native to woodland locations in Europe, Turkey, and the Caucasus.
