Salvia Nemorosa - Indigo Woodland Sage

Salvia Nemorosa - Indigo Woodland Sage is a lilac-colored flower on a reddish stem, making the whorls of blooms stand out. This member of the mint family attracts Hummingbirds, Butterflies and Bees to the blooms. Growing up to 3 feet, this fast grower will fill about 2 feet of width. It will grow in full Sun or part shade. Easy to grow and care for and it needs little water to be happy. If you are trying to draw Hummingbirds, then Salvia is one of the best plants to grow to attract them. They love tubular flowers because it is harder for Bees and Butterflies to get the nectar. Salvias look best when planting at least 3 together, but in groups they really stand out with all the reddish stalks filled with lilac to darker lavender flowers. Crush a leaf and smell it, they smell minty. Great for Containers, Rock Gardens or in your Garden where it gets good Sun.

I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine, Florida. All seed are NOT alike!  There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!

SEED GERMINATION TIP!!!!!!!

ONLY GERMINATE A SMALL PORTION AT A TIME.

DON'T PUT ALL YOUR MONKEYS IN A BARREL.

Good Luck and Happy Planting!!!!
