Teucrium polium – commonly known as the Felty Germander and Wood Sage, is an herb and sub-shrub. It has small flowers that come in a variety of colors ranging from pink to yellow to white. Its leaves are used in cooking and for medicine, but some research suggests that it has the potential for causing liver toxicity.  Before consuming any type of plant, please do your own research and/or consult a physician first!! It has a blooming season that lasts from July to August, grows best in full sun in dry, well-draining soils, and will grow up to 8 inches tall. It is native to the Western Mediterranean region.
