Tanacetum Parthenium – Feverfew is a mounded, clump-forming plant that produces daisy-like flowers that have white petals and button-like yellow center disks. The leaves are toothed, slightly hairy, and strongly scented. It is believed that these plants have been used in the past for the treatment of a variety of medical conditions including fever, headaches, arthritis, and toothaches. Feverfew leaves are normally dried, and then used in medicine. The fresh leaves of this plant and extracts are also used. They have a blooming season that ranges from June to September, will grow between 1 – 3 feet tall, and grow best in full sun with well-drained soil, and are also drought tolerant. These showy flowers will attract pollinators to your garden such as butterflies and bees while being resistant to deer and rabbits. They do well in beds and borders in the garden.
