Berkheya purpurea – Zulu Warrior, a unique flower native to South Africa, with large clusters of stunning daisy-shaped lavender blooms including a dark purple center, even collected for its prickly tall stems and pointed dark leaves. These special flowers can reach upwards to 2 - 2 ½ ’ feet tall and spread 6 inches wide, perfect size for incoming pollinators such as bees. Drought tolerant and deer resistant, this distinctive flower grows well in full sun and blooms all summer long. One mature plant can have 15 blooms at the same time. Looks best when planting several together.
