Veronica Gentianoides also known as the Gentian Speedwell, is a herbaceous perennial that forms a dense mat of ovate leaves from a creeping rootstock that are a bright, glossy green. The foliage is topped by leafy stems that bear loose racemes of small flowers that are a pale blue to almost white that have darker veining. They have a blooming season that lasts from late Spring to early Summer, can be grown in either full sun or partial shade in loamy, moderately fertile, moist, well-draining soils, and will grow between 1 – 2 feet tall. It is recommended to remove spent flowers to encourage compact habit and good flowering the next year. These are easy to grow, so they are great for the beginning gardener! These plants are fairly pest and disease free, make sure to keep on eye out for powdery mildew though. These showy flowers will attract pollinators to your garden such as Butterflies and Bees while being resistant to Deer and Rabbits. They are native to Caucasus and do well in beds, front to mid borders, can be used for edging, as ground covers, and also do well in rock gardens. Another great feature of this plant is that they are low maintenance, which every busy gardener can appreciate!

I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine, Florida. All seed are NOT alike! There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!
SEED GERMINATION TIP!!!!!!!
ONLY GERMINATE A SMALL PORTION AT A TIME.
DON'T PUT ALL YOUR MONKEYS IN A BARREL.
Good Luck and Happy Planting!!!!
