Dianthus caryophyllus fl. Pl. - Grenadin Series Grenadin Scarlet. Who doesn’t love carnations? This is an upright mound forming evergreen plant with greyish- green leaves on erect stems holding full double flowers in rich vibrant scarlet red. Blooming in early spring to early fall, these flowers are very easy to grow. Not only are they gorgeous, but they give off a hint of clove-like spicy aroma. They would be a sure attention getter in the garden and fresh cut in a vase.
