Dianthus Deltoides – Confetti Deep Red seed red flowers

Dianthus deltoides – Confetti Deep Red are easy to care for perennials that are ideal for the beginning gardener. These plants form a low, spreading mound of evergreen leaves that are bronzy, that are studded with tiny, starry flowers that are a deep-red color. They have a blooming season that ranges from late Spring to early Summer, grow best in full sun, will grow between 4 – 6 inches tall and are also drought tolerant. This is a good choice for poor soils that are in hot, sunny sites. These flowers will attract pollinators to your garden such as Butterflies and Bees while being resistant to Deer and Rabbits. These do well in containers, in borders in the garden, can be used for edging, and also can act as a groundcover.
