Potentilla Atrosanguinea - Scarlet Starlit. Aka: Himalayan Cinquefoil. Compact clumping
deciduous perennial, presenting with hairy greenish-gray, glossy ovate, toothed leaves on erect wiry stems. At the top of the stems sits awesome clusters of Scarlet Starlit saucer shaped flowers. The color of these flowers is a dramatic bright crimson red that would add a spectacular splash of color and class to any area. While in bloom from spring to autumn, they present like royalty just moved into your garden. They’re not only gorgeous but are easy to care for and are pest and disease free! They only need basic care by cutting flowers back when spent and regular watering. That's it! These beauties are popular ornamentals and used for ground cover, beds, borders, coastal gardens, cottage and informal gardens. It is recommended the placement of the plants be in an area that can get sun but also sheltered from any high wind, bad weather etc. The striking red color draws butterflies to the flowers, as well as other visitors.

I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine, Florida. All seed are NOT alike!  There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!
