Zinnia Elegans – Polar Bear features full double, rounded flowers that have snow-white petals and open up to 4 inches across. As the flowers mature, circles of small, golden stars surround their center disks. They resemble Dahlias and are borne on sturdy, very long stems that rise atop the foliage of lance-shaped leaves. These flowers will definitely make a big statement in the landscape! They have a blooming season that ranges from early Summer to Fall, grow best in full sun in evenly moist, humusy, well-draining soils, and will grow between 2 – 3 feet tall. A few great features of these plants is that they are drought and dry soil tolerant. These showy flowers will attract pollinators to your garden such as Hummingbirds, Butterflies, Bees, and Birds while being resistant to Deer and Rabbits. It’s important to make sure not to overcrowd them to keep them disease free and to avoid powdery mildew. They make great cut flowers since they have tall stems and a long vase life, do well in large containers, and do well in garden beds and borders. These are also easy to grow and low maintenance, making them the perfect flowers for the beginning, busy gardener! You don’t want to miss out on this plant find, it will surely add a nice flare to any garden!

I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine, Florida. All seed are NOT alike! There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!
SEED GERMINATION TIP!!!!!!!
ONLY GERMINATE A SMALL PORTION AT A TIME.
DON'T PUT ALL YOUR MONKEYS IN A BARREL.
Good Luck and Happy Planting!!!!
