Zinnia Elegans - Cherry Queen is a stunning plant with 4 – 5 in across double flowers, with
petals that are a fiery cherry-red color. This flower is very interesting in the fact that once it matures, a circle of small golden stars then surrounds its center disk. This plant makes a bold statement in the garden since the red blooms rise atop sturdy stems and float above the fresh green foliage. It has a blooming season that ranges from Summer to Fall, will grow between 30 – 40 inches tall, and does best in full sun with well-drained soil and are also drought tolerant. These showy flowers will attract pollinators to your garden such as Hummingbirds, Butterflies, Bees, and Birds, while being resistant to Deer and Rabbits. These fast-growing plants that are native to Mexico, are great for cut flowers, in containers, and also in beds and borders in the garden. Some other great qualities are that these are easy to grow and low maintenance, which is always a good thing for the busy gardener.

I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine, Florida. All seed are NOT alike! There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!
SEED GERMINATION TIP!!!!!!!
ONLY GERMINATE A SMALL PORTION AT A TIME.
DON'T PUT ALL YOUR MONKEYS IN A BARREL.
Good Luck and Happy Planting!!!!
