Alyssum - Lobularia maritima - Easter Bonnet Deep Pink. Aka: sweet alyssum, sweet alison. A member of the mugwort family, this alyssum is a dense herbaceous, mounding, fast growing annual with grayish green foliage and small narrow leaves. Blooming from early spring to hard frost with branches spreading up to 36 inches long, the plant is trailing but stays compact and neat. It is noted for its multitude of early blooms that are uniform and delicate, with a sweet fragrance. This is a no-fuss plant, and is very adaptable to different environments such as salty ocean air and is highly tolerant to the pollution of city dwelling. Great for low growing carpets of color.
