Alyssum - Lobularia maritima - Oriental Nights is a ground cover that blooms in dark purple to plum colors. Growing only 2 to 4 inches tall, this flower spreads out and grows well in containers where it cascades over the side or in walkways and edging. Also used for areas that have poor soil as they like sandy or rocky soils. Oriental Nights is drought tolerant and fragrant so there will always be guests visiting the blooms for their nectar.  Also a great choice to choke out weeds, it spreads like a carpet. Easy to grow and care for.
