Verbascum Lychnitis – White Mullein is a rosette forming short-lived plant, that has long narrow oval shaped silvery grey-green leaves, with a sturdy stem that bears branching clusters of saucer-shaped white flowers. This plant will grow up to 35 inches tall, and does best in moist well-drained soil, and is also drought tolerant. It has a blooming season ranging from early to late summer, and an interesting fact about this plant is that it cannot grow in shade, so make sure to plant it somewhere in your garden that gets a lot of sun. It is recommended to remove spent flower spikes to promote further blooms.
These will attract butterflies and bees to your garden while being resistant to deer and rabbits. These hardy plants are native to Europe and will do best in beds and borders.

I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine, Florida. All seed are NOT alike! There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!
