Verbascum Bombyciferum Giant Silver Mullein. This flower is a short-lived evergreen perennial producing a silvery flower-spike that bears a succession of sulphur-yellow, saucer shaped flowers that appear during the second year. The leaves are large and felted with a silver-green color. It blooms from early to late summer and heavily self-seeds which will be a great addition to the back border of the garden you choose. Deadhead to prolong the blooming period. It is known to be fairly pest and disease free. Does well in beds and borders, gravel and rock gardens, cottage gardens, and wildlife gardens. Native to Turkey, and introduced to California, Great Britain, and Germany. It is considered a good plant to attract pollinators.

I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine, Florida. All seed are NOT alike! There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!
